Estonian – Latvian similar words dictionary.

Now my life is connected to Estonia and I am learning language, too. Latvian and Estonian are very different languages, however some words are very similar. Moreover, some words in Estonian are similar to German, English and Russian as well. I decided to use this fact to help me build my vocabulary from my current knowledge.

I compile a small dictionary of similar words. est-lv-similar-dictionary

Spoken Estonian is hard to understand. I learned to say some phrases and words, but I never say them, because I know that I will never understand, what people will say back. I can’t distinguish words out of sentences yet. So I speak Russian with older and English with young people.
